This book tells the powerful and emotional story of brave Sikh warriors who became martyrs during the Sikh resistance movement. It focuses on the lives and sacrifices of those who stood up against oppression, especially during and after the tragic events of 1984.

In June 1984, the Indian army attacked Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple), Akal Takht Sahib, and many other Gurdwaras. During this brutal assault, many Sikh men, women, and even children were killed. The holy places were disrespected, and innocent devotees were tortured.

Later, in November 1984, a planned massacre of Sikhs took place across several states of India. This dark period in history led many young Sikhs to leave everything behind and dedicate their lives to standing up for justice and defending their faith.

Among these fearless fighters were four individuals from the village of Aloarkh, in the Bhawanigarh block of Sangrur district – Bhai Pyara Singh, his wife Bibi Bharpur Kaur, Bhai Amar Singh, and Bhai Shamsher Singh. While their names may not be widely known today, they followed the path of the Guru with full faith and laid down their lives with courage and dignity.

The book Shaheednama (Martyrs of Aloarkh) beautifully captures their story and honors their sacrifices. It is a tribute to their bravery, commitment, and deep spiritual strength. This book helps readers understand the pain, struggle, and spirit of those who chose the path of martyrdom during one of the most difficult times in Sikh history.

ਕਿਤਾਬ – ਸ਼ਹੀਦਨਾਮਾ (ਆਲੋਅਰਖ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ) ਬਾਰੇ:
ਇਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਲਹਿਰ ਵਕਤ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ਜੁਝਾਰੂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਾਥਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੂਨ 1984 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ, ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੰਘਣੀਆਂ ਭੁਜੰਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸੰਗਤ ‘ਤੇ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਅਦਬ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਵੰਬਰ 1984 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣੀ ਮਿੱਥੀ ਸਾਜਸ਼ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸਲਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਛੱਡ ਛਡਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਜੰਗ ਵੱਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਜੁਝਾਰੂਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਭਵਾਨੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਆਲੋਅਰਖ ਦੇ ਭਾਈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਣੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਕੌਰ, ਭਾਈ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਸਮਸ਼ੇਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਸ਼ੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸ ਰਾਹ ‘ਤੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਾਥਾ ਇਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
